Best Super Bowl XLVI parties in DFW

Posted 8:13am on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012

It is hard to fathom that we are already a year removed from the Super Bowl XLV experience that took place over a region that was marred by the worst ice storm in recent memory. Of course, as we in North Texas sit here in a sun-baked 70 degree week, we do not have the exclusive parties from Playboy, Maxim, GQ and ESPN. Nor do we have cascading sheets of ice falling from the sky coupled with high temps near 22.

While the pageantry has moved up to Indy, there will be plenty of game-watching parties throughout the Metroplex. Should you forgo the house party route for the big game between the New York Giants and New England Patriots on February 5, you want the best experience. Here is a sampling of Super Bowl XLVI parties in DFW:

PRIME SUNDAY BIG GAME WATCH PARTY will take place at Primebar Dallas in Uptown. The people who brought you Bonnie-Jill Laflin's Super Bowl XLV party and Jesse Jane's Super Bowl XLV party  are behind this big bash. Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Remi Ayodele is the host of the event. The back parking lot will be fully tented with a HD projection screen TV that is 20 ft long and 10 ft high and DJs before and after the game. The action begins at 11:00. $15 tickets are available here. Bottle service is available from $300 to $600. Further information call Matt at (214) 669-5684.

Boomer Jack's Grill & Bar has locations on West 7th in Fort Worth, Lincoln Square in Arlington and Central Dr. in Bedford. Super Bowl specials will include $2 Domestic Pints, $3 Domestic Talls, $3 Well Drinks, $2 Jack Daniels and $3 Southern Comfort.

The brand new McFadden's in Addison is already a major player in the DFW party scene following its Grand Opening Bash. For its Super Bowl party, McFadden's is showing the game on its 40 HD TVs with its own halftime show featuring the Lucky Charm Lingerie Scrimmage & Wing Eating Competition with a $250 prize. Packages range from $10 to $20. For reservations call Sarah at (469) 206-3610.

The Pour House on West 7th is hosting the BIG GAME TAILGATE featuring a LG 3D raffle and play-to-win cash prizes. The Garage will have a $7.95 all-you-can-eat buffet with Texas-Style Burgers, Buffalo Fries, hot dogs and sloppy joe sliders.

The ULTIMATE SUPER BOWL PARTY at the Fan Sports Lounge in Victory Park will be an event to itself as it will be showing the game on its a 200-inch HD projection screen. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Laurent Robinson will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs. Raffles include autographed football memorabilia and an iPad2. There will be a special tailgate menu including BBQ ribs. For information on table packages, call (214) 533-2990.

Frankie's Sports Bar in Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth will be showing the game on its 80 HD TVs and featuring NY Giants 1/4 lb dogs and New England Clam Chowder. Tons of drink specials, a trivia contest from 2-4 p.m. and a raffle with prizes including Dallas Stars tickets will make this one of Tarrant County's biggest Super Bowl parties.

The Nodding Donkey's 2ND ANNUAL SUPER BOWL BASH is an all-inclusive party with tickets priced at $100. The ticket guarantees you a seat at the Uptown spot along with lunch, dinner and drinks. $10 of each ticket goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Twin Peaks restaurants 2ND ANNUAL BIG GAME SUPER PARTY is $50 per person and allows you to select your seat while getting five drink tickets for select beverages and an all-you-can-eat from the Super Menu. There are several locations throughout DFW. My personal favorite is the Addison location where I was a judge in last summer's All-Star Bikini Contest. The 103" TV doesn't hurt either!

The new Draft Picks Sports Bar and Grill in the Brewery Building in Dallas is hosting the ULTIMATE TAILGATE PARTY with live DJs and entertainment beginning at noon. There will be a $1000 grand prize if you can guess the winner and correct score of the game. Draft Picks is unique in that it features stadium seating surrounding its 220" TV. For reservations, call (972) 993-3636.

HOOTERS has locations throughout DFW and is always a popular place to watch a game while grabbing some wings and beer. For this year's big game, every store in the country will be giving away a 42" LCD HDTV. For further information and to register for the TV, visit here
