Great scene for McFadden's Grand Opening bash

ADDISON -- Judging by the huge crowds on hand for the grand opening of McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, most of North Texas stopped by to see the DFW's newest party spot. If you missed out on the three day bash,  I would basically describe McFadden's as Sherlock's or Fox and Hound on steroids. The building that previously housed Addison City Limits is split into two rooms with the live music and huge bar area to the left of the front entry with pool tables and another bar to the right. There is also a covered patio area in the front of the building.

We arrived just after 9:00 p.m. to find a big crowd ranging in age from 21 to the (at least) late 40s that only continued to grow exponentially as we went deeper into the night. The big draw for the final night of the grand opening blowout weekend was Sasha Grey's hosting the evening's 'Calendar Girl Search' finals with its $1000 first prize. The big highlight turned out to be the live music performed by Bad Karma as they interacted with the huge crowd and got them involved with songs ranging from Rock of Ages and Addicted to Love to Rebel Yell and Kryptonite. The party kicked into a different gear beginning at 11:00 when the bartenders and other staff members got up on the bar to dance, as my buddy called it, "Coyote Ugly-style." And did I mention how many hot girls continued to pour in throughout the night?

McFadden's also offers an extensive food menu that I will certainly come back and sample as this particular evening was all about adult beverages, hot calendar girls and being two feet away from the legendary Sasha Grey. 

McFadden's next big event is their Super Bowl Sunday party including the halftime show featuring the Lucky Charm Lingerie Scrimmage and Wing Eating Competition with a $250 prize. For reservations, call Sarah at (469) 206-3610.
