As the man himself explains in the video below, Fort Worth-based R&B singer-songwriter Tony Williams is chronicling his journey through the music business ahead of the Valentine's Day release of his debut album, The King or the Fool.
He's releasing a fresh installment of this video series each Tuesday until the LP arrives, and this week's episode has gotten lots of traction online, owing to the footage of Jay-Z and Kanye West (Williams' first cousin) listening to the rough draft of Big Brother, a track from West's third album, Graduation. It's pretty compelling stuff, and a window into a world most of us rarely glimpse. Check back on Williams' YouTube page for weekly updates.
