Les Misérables: The musical, based on the 19th-century novel by Victor Hugo, is now a quarter-century old, and to commemorate the occasion, some of the staging has been changed and the show has been tightened up. It’s now about 20 minutes shorter than when the thing first debuted on the West End and on Broadway.
