Checking out Go 4 It Sports Grill

Posted 8:12am on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011

While it took one of my buddies coming in from Florida for the weekend to get me over to the Lake Highlands neighborhood, the short trek was a success with our hanging out at the Go 4 It Sports Grill. They had 13 HD TVs and two and two 150" HD projectors that made it the perfect spot to hang out, catch up and watch the NFL on a Sunday afternoon that had the Dallas Cowboys playing at night.

Between the group of four of us, we had a variety of things off the menu including hot wings, chicken tenders and a House Burger. My buddy Russ had the Crawfish Etouffee served over white rice and responded with a 'thumbs up' review. The six piece fried shrimp I ordered was very good and very filling. They also offer signature adult beverages, draft and bottled beers and wine by the glass.

There are specials ranging from Ladies Night to Poker Night. Sundays feature $3 You-Call-its and $1 off wine and signature cocktails and half off appetizers between 6:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. For further information, follow them on Twitter @Go4ItSportsGrill.

Go 4 It Sports Grill opened in early October, but the service was good and the neighborhood-type atmosphere gave the new place a very comfortable feel. I could not even tell that the building was formerly a Blockbuster Video store!

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
