The '80s club formerly known as Sardines Italian Ristorante in Fort Worth will officially be pulling on its leg warmers on Thursday night.
Studio Eighty will kick off its grand opening with a VIP party from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, with free cocktails and appetizers; then after 7, the fun continues with 1980s prices on drinks, and the club's dinner menu. But of course, the big draw: a DJ spinning '80s tunes (we're guessing you'll hear Come On Eileen and Mickey at least once, but we're hoping for a little something by The Cure.)
We told you about the transformation of Sardines into Studio Eighty on Oct. 27.
Sardines was a Cultural District landmark since 1978, but its landlord, Louie Jacobini, said then that business had fallen off considerably, and it was time for a change. The aim is for Studio Eighty to become an '80s-themed supper club.
And here's the part where we should say something that includes the words "like," "totally" and "awesome." Instead, we'll just say wish everyone fun while they Wang Chung Thursday night.
