I noticed recently that the soup isle at my local grocery store is now half instant Ramen noddle soups.
I love Ramen, but not all Ramen is created equal.
For me, the best instant Ramen comes from Japan. My favorite Ramen is made by Myojo from Tokyo. Some of the local Asian markets carries it, or you can order it from Amazon.
I like to dress up my instant Ramen with some sort of protein and some fresh green onion. I keep boiled eggs and Chinese BBQ pork ready for use in Ramen soup, but rotisserie chicken or luncheon meat will also work.
Here is my lunch using instant Ramen noddle soup.
Instant Ramen
- 1 Ramen noodle soup bowl (from Japan is best).
- 5 slices Chinese BBQ pork (can substitute rotisserie chicken or luncheon meat).
- 1 Green Onion sliced
- 1 Hard boiled egg, sliced
Cook instant Ramen according to package direction. Normally Ramen takes 3 to 5 minutes to cook in hot water.
While instant Ramen is cooking, slice green onion, egg, BBQ pork or other proteins.
When Ramen is done add egg/proteins and garnish with green onions.
Enjoy!
