In the Galleries: A trio of young artists at Artspace111

Posted 12:43pm on Thursday, Aug. 04, 2011

Three college-age guys head out on a 90-day road trip, and the results are not what one would expect. Instead of a story that ends with "so my dad had to come bail us out," they created a body of artwork inspired by their travels. One of the young men, William Shea, graduated from Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, and he has been on the Artspace111 radar for some time. Shea, Blake Rutledge and J.R. Gramentine are having a brief show of this work, titled "Re-Institution," at Artspace111 through Aug. 17. See their work at the gallery, 111 Hampton St., Fort Worth. 817-692-3228; www.artspace111.com.
