On the evening that kicked the Super Bowl XLV party scene in Dallas into another gear with some of the most anticipated events of in the history of North Texas parties, a lot of the chatter was about one much-hyped party that did not go off as scheduled. There was the Playboy party at the Bud Light Hotel, GQ "Coolest Athletes of All Time" party, Big Game Big Give hosted by Troy Aikman, the Audi Forum Party at the Rachofsky House, the Dallas Super Bash hosted by Pamela Anderson and Leather & Laces. Others that were major players in the party conversation included the Penthouse party, the XXX Bowl 2011 hosted by the legendary Jesse Jane, The Sports Illustrated Party at the Tower Building in Fair Park, the Vivid Official Party at Iron Cactus and Terrell Owens party at Skye Bar.

However, one of the first big Super Bowl events that started this frenzy of seemingly minute-to-minute huge party announcements was The Event featuring a performance by Prince. After being called off the morning of, then later confirmed to be back on, The Event was officially canceled moments before it was supposed to take place (read Preston Jones first-hand account of the Prince drama here).

The snowy conditions that remained following the second winter storm in four days on the North Texas landscape did not stop the Dallas party crowd from hitting the hot spots that were populated by visiting celebrities. Celebs such as Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Justin Timberlake and Glee's Chord Overstreet made an appearance at the Audi Forum Party. Comedian Dane Cook and NFL great Warren Moon dropped by 'Leather & Laces' at Hotel ZaZa. The GQ, Cadillac, Lacoste and Patron party scene included Andy Roddick, Brooklyn Decker, Miles Austin, Kurt Warner, Willis McGahee and Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier. The Black Eyed Peas, Michael Strahan, Owen Wilson, Drew Brees and Sam Bradford attended the SI party. The Playboy party featured appearances by Tony Romo, 'The Situation,' Jared Fogle from 'Subway,' Serena Williams and a performance by Snoop Dogg. Playmates Amber Campisi and Brandie Moses were among the beautful people at Dallas Super Bash hosted by Pamela Anderson. Hugh Jackman, Adrian Grenier and Kevin Dillon of Entourage, and Terrell Owens all made the rounds at multiple parties.

As the Friday night party scene in Dallas came to a close, it is safe to say that EVERYONE in DFW is over this horrific weather and treacherous driving conditions and ready for a Super Bowl XLV weekend void of ice and snow. After all, there are more elaborate, star-studded affairs to go down before Super Bowl XLV is played on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium.
