Weather, schmeather! Celebs and pro athletes won't be deterred from taking part in DIRECTVs Fifth Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl in Dallas's Victory Park on Saturday. The event -- which is free and open to the public -- will be nationally televised on Spike at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The press folks stress that the venue -- the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl Stadium at Victory Park (2300 Victory Ave., Dallas) is fully enclosed and heated.
Participating celebs include: Josh Duhamel (in town with his wife, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas), Chace Crawford, Hayden Panettierre, Joe Manganiello (Alcide from HBO's True Blood, yum), Kevin Dillon of Entourage), Marisa Miller (Victorias Secret and Sports Illustrated model), Chord Overstreet (Glee), and more. Serving as celebrity assistant coaches will be A-Rod and Matthew Morrison of Glee.
And the coaches? Eli Manning of the New York Giants will coach Team Palladia HD and former University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy of the Cleveland Browns will coach Team Spike. Hall of Famer Warren Moon and Jesse Palmer will quarterback their respective teams. Other NFL greats playing in the game include Merril Hoge, Daryl Johnston, Eddie George, Barry Sanders and Darren Woodson.
As if that's not enough entertainment, Maroon 5 will perform after the game.
