AP reports Usher, Slash to join Super Bowl halftime show

Posted 8:44am on Thursday, Feb. 03, 2011

The Associated Press is citing "a person familiar with the plans for Sunday's halftime show" this morning and pulling the wraps off another "surprise": Usher and Slash are reportedly set to join the Black Eyed Peas Sunday at Cowboys Stadium during their halftime performance. Both musicians have a history with BEP, as the AP piece notes: Usher was the beneficiary of will.i.am's producer skills on OMG, while Fergie has belted out Sweet Child o' Mine when Guns 'N Roses toured with BEP; Fergie and Slash also teamed up on the song Beautiful Dangerous. So much as news of the Peas performing at Cowboys Stadium proved impossible to keep under lock and key, so too has this high-profile pair of cameos.
