LaDainian Tomlinson may even be more legendary for helping people off the football field than he is for being one of the greatest running backs to EVER play in the NFL. His generosity is so amazing that he was featured in a 60 Minutes segment.
While his current team the New York Jets fell short in their valiant comeback against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship, LT will still be in DFW for the festivities of Super Bowl XLV. He will host his Purple Reign event at Cool River Cafe in Las Colinas on February 2. The party/fundraiser will celebrate the TCU Horned Frogs undefated season and Rose Bowl victory as well as raise money for the Tomlinson's Touching Lives Foundation. A portion of the proceeds benefit Project 21 to fight childhood obesity and its impact on quality of education.
Among the special invited guests for this exclusive event are Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin and TCU head football coach Gary Patterson. Tickets begin at $200 and go up to $5,000. To purchase tickets or to simply donate to LT's foundation, visit LTGivesBack.com.
