Welcome to the new DFW.com!

Posted 2:53pm on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011

Don't be alarmed. DFW.com has had a bit of cosmetic surgery. Call it an enhancement, if you will.

And now we're ready to show off our new toys.

First off, get a load of our much-easier-to-navigate design. All of your favorite features -- dining, arts, nightlife, music and movies & TV coverage, plus our beloved party pics, can all be found on the home page. One-stop shopping, because we know you're busy, and you don't want to get caught goofing off at work.

Our new search engine is chock full of local events, concerts and restaurant listings, and it's so much more useful and powerful than before. Take it for a test drive, and let us know what you think.

In fact, try out the whole new model and share your thoughts below.

But keep in mind, underneath, we are still the same lovable web site you've come to know (and, we hope, count on). We'll be there to snap your photos at Colonial, and to hunt down the best burgers in DFW. We'll invite you to watch the Oscars with us at the Modern (Feb. 27) and to win tickets to Ozzy or Lola's or the Stock Show. And we'll be your source for all things Super Bowl XLV. So stay tuned and keep clicking.

Remember me

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
