XLV Party 2011 to be held at Cotton Bowl in Dallas

Posted 8:02am on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011

In case you were not confused enough when the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic was played in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium, now one of Super Bowl XLV's biggest parties will be on the field at the Cotton Bowl, the original home of the Dallas Cowboys. And yes, there will be a quiz!

The XLV Party will take place over three nights from February 3-5 in a climate-controlled 60,000 sq ft tent that will feature a 5,000 sq ft dance floor on the historic Cotton Bowl's field. Beginning on Thursday, lifestyle guru Steve Kemble will host elite guests to Belvedere Vodka and Moet & Chandon champagne's red carpet events.

In what promises to be a very unique event, the Village People are performing Thursday alongside internationally renowned DJ Hector Fonseca. Friday is headlined by a DJ set by Duran Duran drummer Roger Taylor. Saturday's night's soiree features Sublime with Rome along with official Beastie Boys cover band Rhymin & Stealin. To purchase general admission, VIP tickets or a more prestigious Backstage Pass to the XLV Party visit here.

Don't forget the Maxim and Diddy parties also in Fair Park on Saturday will make this area one of the hottest spots in DFW.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
