AURA will be hot spot for Super Bowl week

Posted 4:05pm on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011

AURA Lounge in Uptown Dallas is always a guaranteed spot to see some of Dallas' most beautiful people. I have stopped in after random Mavericks games and seen celebs hanging out. I can only imagine the scene AURA will be throwin' out during the biggest party week in the history of DFW. We all know that celebs will be 'hosting' parties and events. But this is one of those places where they will be hanging out when they are not the focal point of the event.

AURA is starting things off with a pre-Super Bowl event on Thursday, Jan. 20, with a Maxim Model Search Party. This is a private event that begins at 9 p.m. and features goody bags and prize giveaways. The winner of the contest will be featured in a full page in Maxim. To gain access to this event, call (214) 280-0738.

During Super Bowl week, AURA is hosting big events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I am partial to Thursday night's X's & O's Affair featuring Celebrity DJ Rhiannon, who just happens to be an International Playboy Playmate and Playboy Magazine Celebrity Cover Girl. Other International Playboy Playmates in the house include Heather Van Viper, Alie Layus and Nicole Nightingale. And don't forget Miss Rehab 2010, Pam Rodriguez. To get tickets visit here. For further information on AURA's Super Bowl events including the Miami-themed 'Touchdown in Dallas' event on Friday night, visit aurasuperbowlparties.com.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
