Humperdinks in Arlington is LSU fans haven on Cotton Bowl day

Posted 11:48am on Friday, Jan. 07, 2011

While the LSU Tigers have been in and around Dallas' Anatole all week, Humperdinks in Arlington is the place to be for LSU fans on game day.

After all, it is the site of the Official LSU Pre-Game Tailgate party. Doors open at 8 a.m. with a unique "Tiger Brunch" menu. The restaurant will be open all the way until 2 a.m. with an "All-Day Tailgate" featuring Tiger Brews to go along their own extensive list of beers from the tallest bar in Arlington.

Admission is free, but a $5 donation to the LSU Scholarship Fund is 'encouraged.' There is free parking and a $10 round trip shuttle down Six Flags Drive to Cowboys Stadium for the game against the Texas A&M Aggies. If you don't have a ticket to the game, Humperdinks has over 60 flat-screens showing the game.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
