Who's ready for a pre-Stock Show, wild, wild west Love Dove feeding frenzy? That movable feast we know as Texas Toast -- a multi-course dinner event co-run by DFW.com contributor June Naylor -- is trotting over to Lonesome Dove on Tuesday.
For the first Texas Toast outing of 2011, Tim Love will whip up an over-the-top menu.
Amuse bouche: Baby beet baked in East Texas hay
First course tapas platter: Cured and smoked crispy wild salmon, grilled gulf oyster, aged cheese and garden garlic
Second couse: Cavatelli, spicy rattlesnake sausage, and radicchio
Third course: Winter greens, guanciale, pear, pepita, manchego
Main course: Texas Black Buck, Brussel sprout refresher
Dessert: Budino, an intense Italian pudding.
And each course includes a special cocktail pairing.
Now, the whole shebang is $125, but it includes all food, drink, tax and tip. And $10 of your ticket payment goes to Chef Loves charity, Burgers for Babies, a fund that benefits the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Cook Childrens Medical Center in Fort Worth.
