Cowboy chef heads west, just a bit

Another restaurateur has good news that he's not quite ready to divulge. But we pried a few, tiny tidbits out of Fort Worth's Cowboy in the Kitchen, Grady Spears.

While keeping Grady's Restaurant, a popular dinner spot in the Park Hill/Berkeley neighborhood in Fort Worth, going strong, and continuing to be the chef for the Houston Rodeo and Reliant Stadium in Houston, Grady's partnering on a downhome place just to the west of Fort Worth. Clear Fork Station will be in Willow Park, and it should be open later this month.

He'll tell us all the goodies next week, he says.

Is it just me, or is it fortuitous that the name Clear Fork Station in abbreviation is the same as kitchen shorthand for chicken-fried steak, Grady's favorite food?
