Marty Walker Gallery opens 'Small Works' show

Posted 8:03am on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010

Rarely do galleries mount small-sculpture shows, but Marty Walker Gallery in Dallas is doing just that with an invitational that reeled in the work of more than a dozen artists, the toy/artworks Macrodons by Billy Zinser and needlework pieces by Megan Whitmarsh, whose embroideries embellish Amy Sedaris' new book Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People. "Small Works: Art + Object" opens with a reception for the artists 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Free. 2135 Farrington St., Dallas, 214-749-0066, www.martywalkergallery.com. -- Gaile Robinson

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
