That multi-colored behemoth restaurant looking so ready to open in Fort Worth's So7 is now 15 days away from serving you.
Chuy's, arguably Austin's most famous food export, will open its double-decker Fort Worth store at 11 a.m. on Nov. 16. Company spokesperson Ashley Ingle says the date is pretty much "set in stone." She says challenges in constructing the two-story restaurant pushed the date back from Nov. 9 to the 16th, and she adds, "we can't wait to open in Fort Worth!"
Hiring continues at least through this week. We predict the holidays will find this place in a fiesta frenzy, and you can count on a big Elvis birthday celebration on Jan. 8, too.
If your appetite needs priming, check out the menu. Look for me at the bar, nursing a Texas Martini and trying to decide between the Panchos and the Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom.
