Durty Crow takes flight on West 7th

Posted 4:48pm on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010

Just a heads-up for those of you craving an adult beverage (or three) this Halloween weekend, there is a cool new watering hole in the West 7th area called the Durty Crow.

If you recognize that slightly off-kilter spelling of Durty, well, that means you've probably knocked back a few beers at Durty Murphy's downtown. Same owners, same laid-back vibe, but Durty Crow is a much bigger space on Foch Street. It's really cool inside, and I especially like the garage-door style windows that open onto Foch street and let the crowd see and be seen.

I popped in briefly Friday afternoon, the day after the grand opening, and chatted with co-owners and childhood buddies Trey Floyd and Brendan Willbanks. But I plan to go back this weekend and see the Crow in full flight. You should, too. And tell us what you think.

It's at 2801 Crockett St., and open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the year, including Christmas. Trey and Brendan swear to it.
