In the morning e-mail: KTVT/Channel 11 and sister station KTXA/Channel 21 have hired Jeffrey Ray to fill the large hole left by the recent retirement of longtime meteorologist Mike Burger.
Although the linked bio from Ray's former station, Nashville's WKRN, says that Ray is a Nashville native, Ray was actually born in Lubbock. He also received his communications degree from the University of Texas. But he did spend his childhood in Tennessee.
“Being both born in Texas and a graduate of Texas, I can’t tell you how much it means to me to now be able to raise my boys in Texas,” Ray said. “I’ve been smiling so much my face is starting to hurt.”
