Playboy Golf swings into DFW

Posted 7:08am on Sunday, Oct. 03, 2010

The 2010 Playboy Golf Scramble sponsored by The Glenlivet came to Dallas for the first time on October 1. Coyote Ridge Golf Club was the site for this truly unique event that was all about hanging out with the beautiful Dallas Girls of Playboy Golf and snapping pictures with the gorgeous vixens that awaited the golfers on the tee box. The host of this unforgettable event was Playboy Playmate Francesca Frigo, Miss August 2010. Let's just say I will NEVER forget this particular golf tournament.

Seriously, this was a 'golf' tournament. The golfers who were able to enjoy this fantastic weather all had the same dream..er...goal in mind when the 1 p.m. shotgun start began. The top three teams in the net and gross division qualified for a discounted package for the Playboy Golf Finals, which includes two parties at the legendary Playboy Mansion. Could you ever in your wildest fantasy imagine that an average joe could have a chance to attend one of those Pajama and Lingerie parties that we all see on Entourage and Sex and the City?

The obvious highlight for me was getting to hang with Francesca Frigo, but the entire afternoon was nothing short of spectacular. Among the things I discovered during this adventure were beautiful girls and comfy couches out on the golf course and the really cool fact that the event raised money for the American Cancer Society's R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to Cancer Kids) Camp. Typically, the worst thing about a shotgun golf tournament is the epic waits between shots. For this tournament, it was the best part. It seemed like everywhere I looked, there were hot girls in revealing white shirts and short skirts. The 14th tee box was complete with a DJ and an Absolut tent. And don't forget the girls. It was like teeing off in a nightlcub. With the 18th hole they certainly saved the best for last. This hole called for a "Closest to the Bottle" contest where golfers took aim at a huge Glenlivet cardboard bottle in the center of the fairway (from what I saw, it would not have mattered if the bottle was made of glass). But the best part of No. 18 was my personal favorite of all of the girls, the blonde bombshell Rhian Alise. WOW!

The action really began Thursday night with an official Playboy Golf Party in Uptown. So it only makes sense that when the round was over, there was another party -- a VIP awards party in the Grand Ballroom of the Coyote Ridge clubhouse -- complete with some amazing auction items and issues of the current Playboy on each table. And yes, all of the girls were there.

If you missed out on the Dallas event, there is still a chance to reserve a spot for the the Playboy Golf Finals, March 16-20, 2011 in Southern California. Packages include parties at the host hotel and that "fantasy" that I mentioned about the parties at the Playboy Mansion can become a reality. You too can get all of the envious texts that I received! They even have "Party-Only" packages available.
