'Inside Sports' Red Carpet Premiere Party

Posted 11:57pm on Sunday, Sep. 26, 2010

Is it possible that DFW is turning into "Dallywood" before our very eyes? Network shows such as Chase, Lone Star and The Good Guys are all being shot here. TNT recently announced plans for an updated version of the iconic series Dallas. The movies are certainly not left behind. We are treated to film festivals galore, including Modern Cinema:Great Movies You Haven't Heard of ... Yet. And don't forget the locally-produced TV show that I work on The Gameday Rivals, won a Sports Emmy last year (not that I'm bragging or anything!).

You can now add Inside Sports to that growing list of DFW entertainment entities. Imagine a combination of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and ESPN and you would be right on the money with this over-the-top funny sports show. It is hosted by the extremely hot Danni Boatwright, who you will no doubt recognize if you are a fan of Survivor. The producers also did an "American Idol" type contest across the USA to find the hottest female reporter to be a part of the show.

Inside Sports, with its tag "News You can ALMOST Trust," had its red carpet premiere party Thursday at Fox Sports Grill at the Shops at Legacy in Plano. The restaurant closed its doors to the public for this invitation-only event where roughly 400 people -- including yours truly and my hot friend Allison Leigh -- got to watch the debut episode that was filmed in Dallas and featured a chat with Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.

Watch for the show to air on Versus beginning in October.
