Just announced: Elton John and Leon Russell

Posted 2:36pm on Wednesday, Sep. 22, 2010

Between them, they have nearly a century's worth of musical experience. Apart, they've each left a considerable mark on the world of rock 'n' roll. Now, with guidance from Fort Worth-reared producer T Bone Burnett, the pair is collaborating for the first time on The Union, due out Oct. 19. It's a record several decades in the making, as Russell and John first crossed paths in the '70s when both stars were on the rise. The duo will take the stage in Fort Worth this fall, performing all the hits, along with selections from The Union, at the Convention Center. Tickets for that show go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at all Ticketmaster outlets.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
