The Lingerie Football League unfurls its second season on Friday night at the Cotton Bowl.
The Lingerie Football League combines two things that every guy I know absolutley loves: sultry beautiful models and full-contact football. The LFL is an extension of the most popular Super Bowl halftime counter-programming special in history called the Lingerie Bowl. Since its premiere in 2004 the bowl is seen annually by millions of die-hard football fans worldwide. Last fall, the Dallas Desire captured the attention of many of DFW's sports fans who longed to cheer for a winning team.
Our hometown team was dominating last season before self-destructing in the playoffs against the eventual champion Los Angeles Temptation. They return superstar quarterback Linda Brenner and her favorite target Candis Mosely of the Desire's explosive offense as their run for a championship begins Friday, Sept. 3 against the San Diego Seduction. These teams met last season on the west coast, resulting in a 40-6 Desire thrashing of the hometown team. However, San Diego is a different team this year, highlighted by the acquisition of one of the LFL's best players, the super hot Brittainie DeGarbott. 'BDG' as she is known, came over from the champion Los Angeles Temptation in the off-season to help bolster the lackluster Seduction's running attack.
The Desire has a new home this year, moving to the historic Cotton Bowl, which should lead to an even better game experience (if that's possible) . The official tailgating party known as Tailgate Village runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and includes a facepainter, DJ, food and beverage and more. Doors to the stadium open at 8 with the kickoff at 9. Advanced tickets are available by visiting here. There is even an option to purchase VIP ON-FIELD tickets if you want to get up close and personal with the true meaning of fantasy football. On game day, tickets are available at the Cotton Bowl box office. FYI, the Desire's only other home game this season is not until January 21, so if you want to get a taste of the LFL, this is your best chance for a LONG time.
