If you could serve any celebrity, who would it be? Jesus from Family Guy. We would talk about Lois and I'd serve him a glass of water so he could turn it into wine.
What's your most requested drink? Mojito. I make mine from scratch with fresh mint, lime juice and cane sugar. Everyone says that they are very balanced and of great quality.
Best hangover remedy? Citrus Cooler Gatorade and BC Powder ... in large quantities.
If you're not behind the bar, where can you usually be found? Sleeping.
Favorite background music to listen to while bartending? Just about any classic blues ... John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Bob Marley and the White Stripes are also heavily rotated here at Sabor.
As a bartender, what's your biggest pet peeve? A dirty, messy bar, and people who don't use their coasters.
What do you like to drink? Sidecar. It's an early 1900s-era drink made with cognac, Grand Marnier, sweet & sour and a lemon twist.
How did you get into bartending? Moved to Texas from San Diego and decided to open a bar with two older brothers. I agreed to work the bar and as of that moment, I was a bartender.
Best advice you've ever given to a customer? Don't jump off the building -- seriously! Also, don't cheat, and if you did, saying that you were drunk is not an excuse.
