Suzy Bogguss

For those keeping track of such things, last year's Suzy Bogguss show at McDavid Studio sold out in what some thought was record time. What that unambiguously indicates is just how locally beloved the country singer is and how much a return engagement in Fort Worth was merited. As Bogguss has been a rock-solid performer for 20-plus years, she certainly won't have any problems filling the night from her catalog of songs, among them Someday Soon and Just Like the Weather. Bogguss' show begins at 8 p.m. April 28 at McDavid Studio, 301 E. Fifth St., Fort Worth. $35. 817-212-4280; www.basshall.com.

Bodyart

Launched in 2005 by Texas Christian University alum Leslie Scott, Bodyart is a dance company that combines gravity-defying choreography with pushing-the-envelope technological wizardry. Seemingly everyone -- from designers to composers tovideo artists -- jumps into Bodyart's creative pool to produce the final mash-up of dance-and-multi-media production. The eight-member troupe, under Scott's watchful and creative eye, will begin its performance at 8 p.m. April 26 at Bass Hall. $15-$55. 817-212-4280; www.basshall.com.
