OK, Joan Jett fans. This one’s for you. And maybe a little bit for Twi-hards who would follow Twilight’s Kristen Stewart to the ends of the Earth. Either way, March 19 is the release date for the movie The Runaways, starring Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Runaway Cherie Currie. To celebrate, we’re not only giving ourselves a new shag haircut à la Joan, but we’re also giving you a chance to win a cool movie prize pack that will include one of two books (either the new Joan Jett, by designer Todd Oldham; or Currie's re-released Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway), as well as a T-shirt, a guitar pick, a button, a postcard from the movie and Cinemark movie passes. E-mail us at tickets@dfw.com, and smack us with your favorite lyric from a Joan Jett song (it can be solo Joan, Runaway Joan or Blackheart Joan). Be sure to put the word “RUNAWAYS” in the subject line for your entry to be valid.
