We love the patio at 8.0 Restaurant & Bar in downtown Fort Worth so much that we always get a little bummed when we can't sit out there, thanks to rain or the blinding laser rays of the North Texas sun.
So raise a glass to 8.0's forthcoming patio canopy. As part of 8.0's recent 5-year lease extension with Sundance Square, the patio of this favorite lunch and nightspot will get an innovative canopy. Lightweight and semitransparent, it should offer some protection from those nasty spring and summer elements.
The canopy won't interfere with the trees, but its rain-shielding powers will allow 8.0 to book performers on the patio without the fear of weather cancellations, according to Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square.
Canopy construction should be under way in the next several weeks and is expected to be completed in April. Fear not: the patio will remain open throughout construction.
