The fact that Cowboys Stadium will be hosting a huge event is almost a given as it is less than a year old and has already had U2, the NBA All-Star Game, Professional Bull-Riding and, oh by the way, Dallas Cowboys games.
This "Super Fight" between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey is guaranteed to be knockout. Limos will be lined up outside of the stadium and local celebs will be sitting ringside. More importantly, the crowd is expected to be in the 45,000 range, so hopefully the two-hour wait that many experienced at the NBA All-Star game should not be an issue.
Manny Pacquiao is considered the "pound-for-pound best boxer in the world." Forbes listed him as the sixth highest paid athlete in the world and carries a record of 50-3-2. Jerry Jones bringing this event to Arlington is a really big deal. Stubhub.com lists tickets ranging from $33 (which will provide a great view of the gigantic video board and probably be cheaper than taking a date to the movies at Northpark Mall), all the way up to $3,150 for a ringside seat. Most fights of this magnitude in Las Vegas average $1,000 for a ticket, but due to the vast size of Cowboys Stadium, this is an affordable event.
After the fight, the party scene kicks into high gear. There will be "after-parties" galore. Here's a sampler:
THE MANNY PACQUIAO AFTER-FIGHT PARTY: This will take place at the Diamond Club at Rangers Ballpark, which means you can walk between the maze of limos and Bentleys to get to this event. Tickets are $100; available at the Rangers Ballpark box office.

THE PACQUIAO FIGHT AFTER WITH DJ JUSTIN HOFFMAN: from Tryst in Las Vegas will be at Aura on McKinney Avenue in Uptown. There is a good chance that some of the celebs who attend the fight will head to Aura for their after-party. For more info call 214-762-2872.
