Half of the four North Texas contestants on this season's American Idol have made it to the top 12.
Fort Worth's Casey James and Duncanville's Tim Urban will continue on.
But Todrick Hall of Arlington and Alex Lambert of North Richland Hills were eliminated by viewer vote on Thursday's results show.
Hall, who performed strongly in the early audition episodes but struggled in the live rounds, told host Ryan Seacrest that "it's been an awesome experience."
Lambert struggled with nerves in his first live performance but steadily improved.
"There's a lot of things I know I'm capable of that the judges and America haven't seen yet," Lambert said.
In addition to Urban and James, the top 12 consists of Didi Benami, 23, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Crystal Bowersox, 24, of Elliston, Ohio; Lacey Brown, 24, of Amarillo; Lee DeWyze, 23, of Mount Prospect, Ill.; Andrew Garcia, 24, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; Aaron Kelly, 16, of Sonestown, Pa.; Michael Lynche, 26, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Siobhan Magnus, 19, of Cape Cod, Mass.; Paige Miles, 24, of Naples, Fla.; and Katie Stevens, 17, of Middlebury, Conn.
Katelyn Epperly of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Lilly Scott of Littleton, Colo., were also eliminated Thursday.
The top 12 will perform live at 7 p.m. Tuesday on KDFW/Channel 4. One will be eliminated on the next results show, at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
