A heaping helping of news & reviews from DFW’s dining scene.
Bistro Louise puts the bistro idea front and center with the new Paris on Your Plate menu, offered between 5 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Owner-chef Louise Lamensdorf, entering the 15th year of business at her French/Mediterranean-inspired restaurant on Hulen Street, offers a special menu to suit more budget-minded patrons.
An appetizer plate of pecan-crusted jumbo frites is $5.50 and grilled sausages with brie is $9.50. Entree picks include Louise’s Family French Onion Soup with a mixed green salad, $12.50; and a mascarpone cheese pizza with black olives and caramelized red onion, accompanied by a green herb salad, $16.50.
The new Paris approach includes deals on wine and $5 premium cocktails from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
