We're not sure what (or who) he's hiding from, but Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland is just one more reminder that the actor sure does love to slap on some crazy wigs and glop on the pancake makeup to play with his pal, Tim Burton. Here's a quick look at some of the most memorable Depp-squises. Which one wigs you out the most? Vote at DFW.com/movies.
Sweeney Todd (2007). The demon barber of Fleet Street's coif is like no other. Except maybe the bride of Frankenstein, if she wore a bob.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). As Willy Wonka, Depp works a Michael Jackson/manchild vibe and tops it with the hair of Prince Valiant. The result is somehow way scarier than even a homicidal barber.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). Buried in eyeliner, cornrows, facial hair and the slurring tones of Keith Richards, Jack Sparrow could just be Depp's finest physical creation.
Ed Wood (1994). In portraying the "worst director of all time," Depp sometimes donned a blond wig and angora sweater to play the cross-dressing Wood.
Edward Scissorhands (1990). This is what happens when Robert Smith of The Cure has a bad day in Sweeney Todd's chair.
