Not to be rude to the new great bar I found, but if you sneeze, you might miss it. Arena Sports Bar and Grill is on the border of Lewisville and Carrollton, right off of HWY 121 at Hebron. It's in a strip mall that's pretty new, but unless you were really looking at it (which you shouldn't be if you are driving), you would write it off as another dry cleaner-shipping store-coffee shop type.
Arena, however, is a hoppin' joint at night. I went there recently for a UFC fight and I had to park across the street. The walk in heels was worth it, though.
The Honey BBQ Chicken Wings were excellent (did I mention I hate chicken wings). The drink specials are cheap for the area and the staff is very personable. So here's what they've got going on:
Karaoke on Wednesday, $2 Wells any way you want `em, $2 Bud Select & Zeigenbock ($7 pitchers).
Thursdays, $2 Bud Select & Zeigenbock ($7 pitchers) and live music. This week, it's an encore performance from Big Daddy. He must be good because the regulars demanded a come back. Music starts around 9-ish.
Blaze of Glory, the Bon Jovi Tribute Band will be performing live this Saturday night. No one does Bon Jovi like Blaze of Glory, except for Jon Bon Jovi. Clear your calenders for Friday, March 5, because it's '80s night and Poison Cherry will perform all of your faves!
