A new west side spot for Tex-Mex

Good news for the Ridgmar Farmers' Market on Fort Worth's west side. RJ Rivera Catering says it will open Rivera’s Mexican Grill and Market, serving three meals daily, on March 1.
The Rivera family has plenty of experience, having operated Café Rivera’s Mexican Food Restaurant in White Settlement from 1986 until 1998. The new restaurant takes over space that's served a barbecue menu for several years. The farmers' market will stay on site, working out of the south side of the large, red-and-white building.
The new Rivera's will serve a full breakfast menu of Mexican and American dishes, and the smoker will remain in operation, as lunch will include chopped barbecue sandwiches, along with salads and various Tex-Mex and American items. At supper, Tex-Mex plates will be offered, along with grilled shrimp, beef tenderloin with mushrooms, bone-in rib eye and more. You can also buy whole or sliced chicken, ham, turkey, pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin, brisket and sausage from the smoke pit.
The restaurant seats about 250 inside with additional tables on the patios. Find it at 900 U.S. 183 across from Ridgmar Mall or call 817-448-9100.
