How to eat bad

DFW.com

Holy ham and cheese -- check out the Men's Health items about horrific calorie scores on popular sandwiches in sit-down and fast-food restos . It's enough to make you stick to rabbit food forever.

The story links you also to other finds in the Eat This Not That books ) that tells you how to dine at chain restaurants without killing yourself.

Then there's the 20 Worst Restaurant Foods in America feature, with pretty disgusting food photos.

But, really, are we surprised that the Cheesecake Factory (which is hit the hardest in these reports) and IHOP are taking such a beating? Did we really need a magazine to tell us again that giant plates of food really aren't good for us?

The only decent news I see is that while the large order of fries at Five Guys is 1,464 calories and 71 fat grams, a half serving of the regular size is only 310 calories and 15 fat grams. It's hard to live without fries, after all.
