The Modern offers Wonderful Wednesdays for kids

Do you wish your family were more the museum-going, art-appreciating type? Here's a chance to make it happen for free. Each month, the Wonderful Wednesdays program at the Modern offers kids and their parents a glimpse of art in the museum's collection. A docent offers an introduction to works, and the program wraps up with a project that reinforces it all.

February's program introduces Ellsworth Kelly and Mark Rothko. Paintings from both are part of the museum's permanent collection.

You don't have to register in advance; just sign up at the front desk when you arrive. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
