Street Chic: We spotted Tabitha Hunt, owner of Shoe Gypsy

Street Chic: Check out the style of Tabitha Hunt, owner of Shoe Gypsy.

Rachel S. Peters

Oh, the people we meet on the street in DFW. You are a stylish bunch. Which is why we've decided to stalk you. OK, maybe stalk is too strong. But don't be surprised if a perfect stranger comes up to you and starts asking nosy questions about what you are wearing and what is in your closet. We'll ask to take your picture, too. Lots of 'em. Sounds like stalking, right? Only difference is you might end up in DFW.com INK rather than in a shrine on our bedroom wall.

So meet Tabitha, and keep an eye out for Street Chic.

Tabitha Hunt

Age: 31

Occupation: owner of Shoe Gypsy

Spotted: walking her dog, Lucy, near her shop on Park Hill Drive in Fort Worth

1. How would you describe your personal style? "I like to be distinct, which means pushing the limits, but it's got to feel like me. For instance, yesterday I was wearing a blue wig!"

2. Who's closet would you raid? "Gwen Stefani!"

3. Worst purchase? "Guess Overalls. It was the early 1990s!"

4. Favorite purchase? "My L.A.M.B. purse."

5. How important is your personal style, regarding the image you want to project? "VERY! It's how I represent my store."

Tabitha ran back to her store and changed into a pair of heels so her feather tattoo could be properly displayed.

Shoe Gypsy is at 2966 Park Hill Drive, Fort Worth, 817.927.7700, www.shoegypsy.com
