Your backstage pass to the DFW music scene and beyond.
It's not entirely clear to me when, exactly, Sarah Crisman ever has time to sleep, given her seemingly cram-packed schedule, but what is readily apparent from even a casual glance at the Pegasus News music section is her unabashed enthusiasm for just about anyone making music in the NTX area.
One of her many side projects is a Web-based (and I quote) "late night variety show," helpfully titled The Crisman Show, which will broadcast live from Fort Worth's Scat Jazz Lounge Feb. 11. Afterward, it will be available on demand via YouTube, Vimeo and (duh) PegNews. According to a note about the upcoming event, it's revealed that her show will shoot episodes in multiple cities, "each featuring the brightest homegrown talent in both music and comedy."
Paul Slavens, Dallas comic Rudy Rush and Dallas R&B vocalist Geno Young are among the guests scheduled for the Feb. 11 broadcast. Guess Fort Worth's homegrown talent is busy that night.
