The stars were aligned perfectly on this 70-degree Tuesday night in November. My buddy Chip and I arrived at Boomer Jack's Bar & Grill in Bedford just looking for a place to grab a bite and watch the Dallas Mavericks-Houston Rockets clash. The patio was super-packed (I don't know the specifics of how many it holds, but it felt like a couple of hundred people hanging out under the lighted trees) and with flat-screen TVs scattered outside, it felt like we were at a huge Mavs watch party. Might've had something to do with the Tuesday night special: $2 U-Call-Its and 49-cent wings.
We snagged a table by the gate, so I had the perfect spot to watch all the hot girls as they arrived. This place has a chill atmosphere with everyone in T-shirts and jeans, except this one guy who managed to walk around shirtless for a short time, with his multiple tattoos blazin'.
Our waitress, Courtney, was awesome -- even though she was super-busy with the huge crowd, she managed to make us feel like we were her only table! Chip downed several adult beverages as we watched the Mavs fall behind 17 points in the first half. But as we enjoyed our Cowtown steak fingers and really good fries, we were treated to a Mavs comeback in the midst of a huge party crowd.
I would say it was a victorious evening on all levels!
