Three more outdoor-shopping excursions

University Park Village

This old fave in west Fort Worth is a yup-yup-yuppie’s dream. Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, the Apple Store and Banana Republic will take care of most of the Buffys on your list. But to funk things up a bit, swing over to Ruby for some girlie-girl action and sweet accessories. Refresh yourself with a latte at Starbucks or a margarita at Blue Mesa and just try to get into La Piazza. If you strike out, we’ll save ya a seat at Chili’s.

West Village

If you crave a more boutique-y atmosphere, this chic uptown Dallas complex is the place. Our favorite shop is Cowboy Cool, where you can unleash your rhinestone fetish. Catch an indie movie at the Magnolia or sip some frozen lemonade (the adult variety) at the recently opened Lemon Bar. Just bring plenty of coin, because the West Village doesn’t come cheap.

Mockingbird Station

Of course, the Angelika is still the centerpiece here, but you can also shop for your hipster friends at Urban Outfitters or Kidrobot, a pricey pop-art fashion shop. MS also has Francesca’s and Bittano’s for the ladies. After your movie, try one of the 150 beers at Trinity Hall Irish Pub or try to scam your way into Deux, an exclusive new lounge near the Angelika. Last time we were there, we bumped into Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez. Jennifer Kyle
