The biggest party of 2010 will like be the NBA All-Star Game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Better yet it's on Valentine's Day at 7:00 pm -- so at long last this "holiday" will be focused on the guys. (A man can dare to dream, right?)
80,000 people (including tons of celebrities) are expected to attend, which will make it the largest crowd ever to see an NBA All-Star Game. Last summer, the tickets sold out almost instantly, and my buddies and I were bummed. I have watched this game annually since I was a kid and waited what seems like forever for it to finally come to Dallas-Fort Worth.
But not to despair, a limited number of Baseline Plaza tickets (Standing Room Only tickets similar to the Party Pass at a Dallas Cowboys game) will be priced at $30 and are going on sale Tuesday, November 17 at 10 a.m. (You can get the tickets at Cowboys Stadium, American Airlines Center, or Ticketmaster.) The Baseline Plaza covers three levels at either end of the stadium and will accommodate additional fans for this huge event.
I am excited about being able to be at the game, and I want to say thanks in advance to Mark Cuban and Jerry Jones for bringing this game to Tarrant County. Not to mention for giving me the ultimate excuse not to have to spend a fortune on an overpriced restaurant on Valentine's Day.
