The Lingerie Football League unfurled its first official game in DFW on Friday night, featuring the hometown Dallas Desire vs. the Denver Dream. It was a little bit football, a little bit peep show and a lot of fun. Our club cam was there to capture the pre-game hype and in-game hits and all the beautiful people on the field and in the stands.
It's time for Friday Night Football -- or at least the brand of Friday Night Football I prefer.
Our most dominant local professional sports franchise, the Dallas Desire of the Lingerie Football League, returns to their home field, QT Park in Grand Prairie, for the final time this season as they host the Los Angeles Temptation on October 23 at 9:00 PM.
If you missed their home opener, the destruction of the Denver Dream 20-6, I would highly recommend venturing out to this really cool stadium that is tucked in between Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie and Nokia Theatre. The Desire followed up that victory with a 40-6 throttling of the San Diego Seduction out in California.
Lingerie Football is nothing like it sounds. I was down on the field for the last game and watched these girls smash each other to the ground with a vicious driving force featuring displays of amazing athletic ability. And by girls, I mean hot athletic models clad in shoulder pads and helmets that take this sport very seriously. Imagine roller derby crossed with arena football as HAWT girls are in the stands passionately cheering for their HOTTT friends on the field.
But the scene starts four hours prior to the game at 5:00 with Tailgate Village and all of its craziness. FYI: there is also an "Official LFL After Party" at AMPM in downtown Dallas beginning shortly after the conclusion of the game.
