Lili's splashes up cool new summer menu

Posted 4:57pm on Wednesday, Jul. 08, 2009

And speaking of Lili's Bistro, Vance Martin and chef de cuisine Heather Hogan have launched a new menu to brighten these dog days of summer. Among the new small plate offerings, there’s a Wasabi Cheese Ball ($10), served with pita chips or crackers; Grilled Halloumi Skewers ($10), with chicken apple sausage and served with herb-infused white beans and lemon garlic aioli; and Avocado Shrimp-tini ($13), with mango pico de gallo. Large plate additions include petite filets ($24), two small tenderloins topped with grilled pears and Gorgonzola cheese; and Chef Heather’s Lobster Salad ($19), tempura-fried lobster atop a salad of green tea soba noodles. And there are new desserts, too. I can’t wait to try the cherry limeade poundcake, an homage to the favorite drink of summertime from Sonic. More than 25 new wines have been added to the list, and Lili’s will sell you a bottle at half-price on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, through July 30, if you try a new dinner menu item.
