What makes a model pet? Maybe she's the smartest pet in town. Maybe he's the snuggliest. Maybe dear old Fido has done some truly heroic things in the past, like call 911 while you were choking on a chicken bone. Whatever the reason, we asked you to tell us what makes your cuddly creature a model pet.
Here is a gallery of the photo entries we received. If this doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will. (And as you can see, we've got an awfully tough decision to make.) We also received one video, below.
The grand-prize winner's pet will appear on the cover of next week's DFW.com Ink Edition magazine, and the winner will receive a framed print of the cover, courtesy of House of Frames in Fort Worth. Lucky runners-up will get to see their pets featured in a photo spread in that issue.
