Had a lovely chat with one Ms. Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, this morning, in which we discussed everything from the soon-to-be broiling Texas summers (she misses 'em) and John Congleton, her cohort in crafting her sophomore disc Actor (she loves 'im). But, aside from pimping my own stories, there's a point to all this: NPR will be streaming Clark's May 22 gig at Washington, DC's the Black Cat right over here.
And while we're on the subject of St. Vincent, the Dallas Observer's Pete Freedman noted earlier today the singer/songwriter's glowing piece in Wednesday's New York Times.
