Chicken Scratch hatches excitement

There's food-excitement in Parker County, and it doesn't include peaches this time. Chicken Scratch Bistro on the courthouse square is the new hot spot in Weatherford. Curt Stovall, formerly of H3 Ranch in the Stockyards, is the chef.
I just finished reading correspondent June Naylor's review of Chicken Scratch, and I'm ready for a trek to Weatherford tonight. Especially for dessert -- specifically the uber-moist Dr Pepper sheet cake, which she describes as "a charming variation on the old Southern favorite Coca-Cola cake."
