About the author

Christopher Kelly writes about movies, food, books, art and popular culture for DFW.com. Born in the outer-borough splendor of Staten Island, New York, Chris has long since lost his Sopranos-like accent, but not his love of street festivals or for the 1988 Mike Nichols’ masterpiece Working Girl. He has a secret fondness for VH-1 reality programs and Jay-Z albums.

'Ellen' checks in on Dallas Wednesday. Will your neighbor be in the crowd?

Today's episode of the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' will show a gaggle of Ellen fans who gathered at a car dealership on Tuesday for a chance to win a car. It was all part Ellen's stunt to gather 1 million Twitter followers. You'll have to tune in at 3 today to find out who won the car. We're wondering if it could it be former Star-/Telegram theater critic Mark Lowry? He was in the crowd, and afterward, he urged his friends to tune in today, and promised that they will "die laughing." More on the stunt here and here.
