Amber Guest and Stephanie Dunnam in Good Things Buddy Myers

Ray Price and Roy Clark

In Ray Price, a Texan who hails from Perryville, one has a master of many iterations of country music — from the most traditional to his innovative use of varying time signatures and his additions of strings to the final mix. Meanwhile, Roy Clark, a Virginia native, has been a stringed-instrument prodigy since he first laid his hands on a guitar, mandolin, and banjo at the age of 14. A few years later, he had already swept a couple of banjo contests and appeared on the hallowed Grand Ole Opry stage. These two enduring giants of country music will take the Bass Hall stage at 8 p.m. Oct. 28 in Fort Worth. Tickets: $25-$55. 817-212-4280; www.basshall.com.

'Good Things’

In this Scottish play, presented by Stage West, a recently divorced woman who works in a charity thrift shop approaches the precarious age of 50 with the added anxiety of navigating the rocky social shoals of Internet dating. This sweet-tempered and quirky rom-com features four actors playing a bevy of characters. Good Things opens its run Oct. 29 (through Nov. 29) at Stage West, 821 W. Vickery Blvd., in Fort Worth. Tickets: $18-$28. 817-784-9378; www.stagewest.org.
